Its a thick and dense mat. Have been using it for pilates for about 5 days now and it seems to be good enough. I bought 2 of them and both are a little shy of 5/8 inch. But its good enough.

Super thick. Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. Doesn't lose thickness. I developed pain and numbness in my wrists due to carrying baby and I couldn't even do a downward facing dog without tons of pain and shaking. Not an issue with this mat.

I use this on a tile floor and it's wonderful! I had a thinner mat before (and the bruises to show for it):Tone Fitness Yoga Mat with Floral Pattern, Teal. This extra-thick mat saves your knees, hips, and pelvis from the abuse of planks, pushups and supermans. Wish I had bought this sooner. The pink is very pretty.

This is a great match! I love the thickness it has. I have tiled floors, and I needed some padding to exercise. This does the trick. It is worth the money I paid for it.
