A fun twist on chess for a few board game nerds. Don't think it will become a family tradition but makes for a fun night.

I absolutely love this version of chess!! I've seen a few variations out there, that only has one or two new pieces. But this is on another level!! I definitely recommend learning the pieces one or two at a time, instead of jumping in the deep end with all of them, lol. For the price, I was supremely impressed with the quality of the packaging and the product. Yes, the pieces are plastic, but the cards, instructions, and everything was above and beyond. And the two piece bags were a huge bonus for me. The cards describing each piece is a wonderful idea for new and experienced players, giving detailed information about classic and faerie chess pieces. All in all I am very satisfied with my purchase, and would recommend anyone to give it a try.

My family loves chess, and we sometimes make up silly rules for our chess games for the fun of it. Faerie Chess is right up our alley! It spices up the game of chess and every replay is different because you can select which special pieces you use for each new game. We love it!

Bought this as a present for my chess-obsessed son. He was thrilled to have the alternate pieces and play options of this board. It was a fun challenge for him to learn the new pieces. The set is high quality and I believe it will last through many matches.
