I bought this mat to do some of my workouts at home. I need a soft mat, not the hard yoga type. This was just the right density.

This Matt is very comfortable and is actually one inch, but I would suggest not doing advanced yoga. Me and my roommate got one, she does advanced yoga moves, and her tore pretty quickly. I mainly stretched and it lasted much longer.

After deciding that a mat I bought for yoga (which I'm not currently doing) was too thin for my non-yoga floor exercises, I bought this one. I have no regrets. It is the softest mat I've ever used. It is true, as some reviewers have said, that the included carrying strap leaves marks on the mat, but that strikes me as a merely cosmetic issue. After using it 2x weekly for almost 3 months, I see no sign of wear or deterioration. My only gripe with it is the advertising. Maybe I'm just bad at yoga, but I can't imagine trying to do challenging yoga poses on a mat this thick. However, I find it perfect for core exercises, stretching, and the like.

I bought this pad to improve my balance for Tai Kwon Do. I can do all kicks and exercises easily on a hard floor, but I have trouble in my dojo because it has a highly compressed, but padded floor. I've been looking for a pad that mimics what I use in the dojo. This pad is not the same, but it does make balance more difficult than on a hard floor. I will use it and see if it affects my performance in the dojo. My only complaint is that it is not durable. My pad already has nicks and gouges. I wish the surface material was a bit tougher.

This yoga mat is so much better than the thin ones. My bum, doesn't hurt anymore when laying on it. The others are just like laying on the actual floor.

The cutting of the mat was a bit uneven. The over all quality is good. I have not had much time to use it yet. As with ant floor mat it's comfort was not the reason I purchased it.

I had to order this mat when my class moved into a room with a hard wood floor. It provides the perfect amount of give and support for seated and floor poses (those on hands and knees). I do use my thin sticky yoga mat on top, otherwise it's a bit too slippery. I do not use it for standing poses.

I've had a half inch yoga mats before. But I have to say this 1 inch Yoga Cloud Ultra Thick mat has become my favorite. I'm a cyclist and I use it every time I get on the bike, before and after and it feels really comfortable. It grips the floor really well and it does not bother my knees which is the reason why I got it so thick. I have a very sensitive knew cap and when I place pressure on the pain is unbearable. I don't feel it with this mat so it works for me. The only draw back is the way it smells on the very first days if not weeks.. The smell is not the best, but like anything else that's rubber and that is knew I'm sure the smell will go away. Number two it is bulky. So you are definietely going to need closet space or a corner that you don't use often in your home to store this bad boy.. I think price could be lower but overall I think is worth it

Very thick mat, even thicker than expected, as well as softer. Don't let your cats near it, though. It doesn't have any kind of protective finish. Other downside is that it is a little more difficult to balance with a thicker mat. The comfort of the thickness outweighs the cons. Very glad I received this as a gift. Would have eventually purchased this for myself.
