Save your money! This is the biggest piece of crap I ever bought for my trailer. It was taking me a whole hour loading my boat onto the trailer, especially if it was windy. It was past my refund policy, so I threw them into the garbage and bought the post style guides instead. They are 100 better!

On my trailer I had to put them as far in as I could. Have a 17-foot Bayliner. Even after tightening the u-bolts extremely tight, to the point where the clamps are actually bending. There was still some play or wobble. I drilled a hole and ran a bolt through the clamp, this right really did the trick to tighten things up.

These bunks are difficult to secure to a Trailer. The bolts are difficult to tighten and the ubolts shifted under the weight of an 82 lb rowboat and bent the trailer frame. I am giving up on these and moving to a roller bunk. They sit very high on the trailer.
