I'm a retired Mechanic for the NYPD. At work we had factory scan tools. I've had a few aftermarket tools, but since getting the Blue Driver I never use them. I use the Blue Driver on my IPad, and has been a usefull tool. The smog test readiness feature that shows when monitors have run is extreme useful.Well worth the price.

This is an excellent product. If this product could become bidirectional in the future, it would then be perfect.

I've tried several other scanners, and while they could all read basic diagnostic codes, none of them could read the SRS codes (airbag light) for my Hyundai. One scanner could do it if I shelled out an extra $60 for a software update. I decided not to because there didn't seem to be a guarantee I'd get my money's worth. Then I found BlueDriver, and their site told me exactly what kinds of codes it could read from my vehicle, so I decided I might as well get the fancy wireless scanner.This is by far the best OBDII scanner I've used. The amount of information it's capable of accessing is beyond other scanners but with a smaller price tag. I was able to diagnose my airbag light and some other codes were revealed that I was unaware of. The app provides suggestions for likely fixes with each code. It provides realtime data on a variety of metrics, and it even was able to clear my tire pressure light! My tire pressure is perfectly fine but the warning light had been blinking for a year and I'd been ignoring it. So much nicer now that it's gone for good!One nice thing about the app is that it doesn't require you to create an account. I was half expecting that, but the app stays out of your way and is easy to use.Everyone should have this scanner. It will help you know what's wrong with your car with the least amount of complication and will help prevent you from getting ripped off by a dealer or mechanic.

I knew I had a misfire in my Jag's engine which uses coil packs for each cylinder. I needed to determine which cylinder and was about to use my older scan tool that requires a cable and provides minimal information. Well, I ordered the BlueDriver in the morning and had it by early afternoon. I turned the key to ignition plugged the unit in and within seconds I had my answer. The misfire was on cylinder 1 and there were two possible causes; the coil pack or the spark plug. Knowing that coil packs are prone to failure, I replaced it within minutes and the Jag was back to normal. What's more is that in live mode I can choose 5 parameters (at a time) from a long list and see them graphed as the car is running. This tool puts so much more at the user's fingertips. Very highly recommend this product for anyone that wants to work on their own car or know what is going on in the mechanicals.

Great little tool to help analyze problems and check autos systems. It's already save myself and neighbors money. Well worth the price.

This product works as it should. Follow the simple instructions, and you will know what's wrong with your car immediately. I have diagnosed 2 problems already which saved me a ton of money. Couldn't be any easier than this.

Highly recommend for anyone. You don't have to be a master mechanic to use, and it gives great detail about your car's health and problems with it. Defiantly pick one up too if you are planning on buying a used car.

Great little device.. easy to use and I like the fact it gives you commonality of problems and possible fixes!

Been using this for at least 3yrs on our family's Jeeps, Subaru's, Toyoto's, a Range Rover Sport, Kia Optima, etc. not a problem. I haven't had to use tech support so can't give that 5 stars but also can't give it an N/A. I figure if it works and I can figure out how to use it then tech support should get at least 4.

Bought this to use on my F350 to check engine codes. Super simple instructions. Download the app and away you go. Best feature is it is powered by the truck. Both my other readers use batteries and are always dead when I need them. Great product.

Me and my brother love cars... only problem is that we're still in school and we can't do very much. We both own cars of our own, and we used the obd2 scanner to read codes and to help us diagnose what the hell was wrong with his engine when it started idling extremely low. Attempting to fix something when you don't know what's wrong with it is hard, especially with something as complex as a car. This Bluedriver has helped us and has treated us well so far even giving us reasons why the problem was occurring. The only thing that was left for us to do was find the part and get the right tools since we're just starting off as mechanics.

Used it right outta the box, paid for itself first time. Diagnosed 2013 Honda AWD code and had specific repairs suggested. It's great.

I tried this scan tool on per a friends recommendation after I learned that the $350.00 Innova scan tool I purchased to diagnose an issue with the hybrid system of my 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid provided me with an unhelpful generic error code. The BlueDriver scan tool was able to provide a more granular diagnostic and was all-together more compatible with my specific vehicle. The user interface is intuitive and offers various tips as you navigate the various menu options. Though I have very limited experience with scan tools in general, it seems to me like a solid product, especially factoring in the $100 price tag.

Great must have tool. It doesn't ask almost anything except the mileage. The rest can be taken from the VIN Code and from the online databases. Provides complete information about car and it's critical parts, can help to get ready for the emission test. Very useful! The support is quick, reliable and efficient.

I have 2 of these and they perform great. Easy to use and provides a lot of information as well as possible solutions to error codes.

This scan tool has saved us hundreds of dollars on repairs. I highly recommend this tool!

After a week after I installed the device in my Mercedes and not using the vehicle, my MBZ phone app warned me that my battery was severely low. I contacted BD Tech Support and asked them How much battery does the device use? He answered, I don't know.Clearly they do know, but do not want to admit that it can drain the battery if the vehicle is not used regularly with the BD plugged in.It is a good unit with a well thought out app, but the documentation (and tech support) needs to warn the user that if the BD unit is left installed and the vehicle is not used for more than a week, that it could drain the battery. More importantly, why is the unit drawing battery power when the vehicle is not being used?
