Over the years I had built up a collection of dumbbells, but it took time and was costly. I'm at a different location temporarily and I was starting out from scratch. This is exactly what I needed. With the cost of weights in the used market running close to $1.80 per pound, and the new, adjustable sets costing $300, these are unbelievable value. I got two 52 pound dumbbells and they are perfect. This allows me to have weights from very light, up to about 50 lbs. No need to have loads of weights all over my living room like before. Sure, you do need to take a minute to adjust the weight but I try to group exercise in a way to minimize weight changes.Quality-wise these are very good. The bar has a nice crisp, knurled grip, and is heavy. The weights are well coated, smooth, and didn't have any chips or sharp edges. No rust or weird odors like the rubber coated weights can be. The collars spin on easily and there's a rubber gasket on each side of the weight that helps everything stay snug as you exercise. Very pleased with this purchase.

These are very sturdy (real) weights. Very solid and the twist locks stay tight while in use.They are exactly what I was looking for.The only negative was some of the weights had some buildup of the coating on the inside of the hole. This had to be filled down on some to get them to slide on the dumbbell shaft.

The product description reads: Cast iron weight plates fit 1-inch standard handles and bars  plates will accommodate all standard 1-inch handles and bars. Well, that's true as far as it goes, but what they don't say is that the holes and bars are 1-1/8, so none of my existing 1 weights will fit on this bar.The plates included do fit - just a bit loosely - on a standard bar, so it's not a complete waste of time, and the plates themselves are priced OK and good quality. But beware that this is not a 1 product.

Will update when issue is resolved.Two of four screws that stop weights from falling off do not fit. Only one barbell is functional right now due to this. Product feels good and if this issue is rectified the product is worth it in my opinion.UPDATE: replacement parts were sent out same day and I received them a few days later. Good product and great customer service!

These CAP Adjustable dumbbells are great for your money.The good :Knurling : Good enough to be noticeable but not deep enough to cause discomfort. I do wish they were deeper.Accuracy: I've weighed out most of the plates and their all precise to the tenth of a pound.The bad:Some of the edges of the handles and spin lock could be filed down. Not too big a deal.Overall you get what you pay for. Of course it's slow to change weights but you know that already. A tip I heard from a YouTuber was to buy extra pairs of handles and doing locks to have different weights on hand for smaller muscle groups or drops sets.I'm pretty happy to have some weight to throw around in my room.

These weights are extremely secure for adjustable dumbbells. The nut keeps the plates tight safe.

Nice product, supplement weights for my existing dumbbells set that I have. Will purchase another one soon.

This single barbell set seems decent. I was expecting the manufacturer packaging to be a little better from CAP. Some of the weights came with little chips of the coating missing but it doesn't effect use at all. The barbell grips well and doesn't seem to slip at all for me. If I run into any issues I'll edit my review.

This is a quality product. The packaging was good for the weight inside and all pieces were wrapped for protection. Very easy to change weights for different excercises. Good grip area that is larger diameter than most. I bought two sets just for additional weight. I may be buying more!

Good sets of weights. Bars are a little rough on the hands but callouses will eventually build up too.

They are great. My son likes them. Arrived on time. Feels very secure with the locking nut so weight doesn't move while lifting. I do recommend these.

These are not 1. They are 1 1/8. It's not an issue if you do not plan to use any other weights. 1 1/8 plate weights are virtually impossible to find. 1 is standard. I can't use these with any of my existing standard 1 weights. Gave them away and bought a true 1 set.

Dumbells are precision made and plates are made to high standards. They are delivered in good, compact, packaging.

All came in good shape and am using it without problems.

I looked at other adjustable dumbbells from Bowflex and PowerBlock, but the plastic parts they include reportedly make them fragile, which is a characteristic I'd like to avoid in free weight equipment. Ironmaster equipment looks great, but it's much more expensive and, it appears it's only available on the used market at even higher prices, or from Ironmaster via lottery.These dumbbells (I ordered two) came on time, double-packed and plastic-wrapped in two 52.5lb boxes, and with all of the parts and pieces included and intact. They look very solidly constructed. The retention collars are easy to spin off and on. They can loosen during use, but so far a simple check and twist before each set looks like it will keep them safe. Some of the plates had rough spots, but the finish looks tough and appears to adhere well to the underlying iron, and I'm unconcerned with their aesthetics.The knurled handles are consistent with equipment I've used in most gyms, and a pair of gloves would address any discomfort that some folks may experience.I've only used these a few times so far, but they're exactly what I wanted, they look like they'll last for years, they're reasonably priced, and I don't have to worry that a broken piece of plastic will leave them unusable or make them unsafe.
