These fit good and I wore them for hours doing yardwork right out of the box.Have worn them several times and love them. These have a bigger toe box.The way the soles are made I think they will last longer than my pervious pair.

Good boot needs little braking in time

These problems honestly have more to do with my foot and less with the boot itself just putting it out there. I have wide fat feet and I weigh well over 250.I really wanted to like these boots. The quality of the leather looks really good and thick,I like the laces which I can't say for every boot unfortunately. I like the look of the boot.I gave it about 2 weeks to see if it just needed to be broken in, but in the end it was no good.There's 2 things about this boot.1. It's narrow. I ordered wide and it's still really narrow. I feel my foot pressing into the side of the heel of the boot, and while it doesn't seem like a big deal wearing it for 5 minutes, after 8 hours on your feet you're going to start limping.2. At the top of the boot, near the toes or at the beginning of the shoe laces, there's this very apparent and very hard line laying on top of you foot. I don't know what this is, or why it's there, but it feels like a piece of sharp plastic pressing against your foot. Another thing that won't bother you at first but after being in them all day will probably kill you.These may be things that narrow footed people don't ever experience, but I'd say stay away if you're wide footed.

Husband is a hard person to shop for and he actually likes these boots.

Ive had these boots for 6 months now and they still look new! The steel toe is great and protective. Ive had a couple different insoles since ive had them so changing them out every couple months is a pain but the boots are great. No problems with the sole falling off or tears in the top cuff.

I'm surprised to see the negative reviews of the Caterpillar brand. If you use boots hard in rough environments you must expect some wear and tear. You must keep them clean. Wipe with a damp cloth when dirty. Saddle soap and Neatsfoot oil occasionally. I have used the Caterpillar brand of Wolverine boots for many years. Always very good quality. The Second Shift boots I've been wearing for 2 weeks have excellent construction and finish.

This is the second pair I have bought. The first pair, he just out grew. This pair works great and it's not like he treats them kindly. You can't beat the durability and comfort for the cost.

these are okay boots, but don't think they are anything close to quality of others with initials of R and W; took a month to rip one of the grommets loose, for example as attention to detail; no arch support, as most boots don't

These boots are decent for what I do. I walk a lot of stone and steel. Nearly a year after purchasing, the soles are still in tact which is a surprise considering it’s a significantly cheaper boot than what I’ve bought in the past.The problem is, these are very uncomfortable to walk on stone with. I can feel every bit of what I step on. I had been meaning to get some Dr. School’s gels to insert, but the insole cannot be removed so I decided to wear them for a while until the insole was, maybe, pushed down enough to be able to fit a gel insole on top.I didn’t realize that it’s been nearly a year since I bought these, but finally purchased the gel insoles. Today will be my first day with them, and they are a bit tight, but necessary if you’re planning on walking on stone/ballast with these.They’ve held up, just wish the insole was either more comfortable, or removable to be able to insert a more comfortable one as soon as purchased.

Got these as a gift for my other half. He loves them.

I didn't even need to break these bad boys in. I put them on at 8am went to work. I was up on ladders, digging trenches, repairing fences. They never came off until 11pm that evening. They're perfect. Thank you.

Love the boots. Very comfortable and light weight. Ankle leather cushion rubs on ankle but breaks in fast.

If you are expecting a tough boot, don't. The insides wear out, the lining tears loose and you will be fighting to put these on within 6 months. I bought two pair and it holds true both times. It is a good looking boot, but disappointing.

This boot fits well, true to size. Only small wish is that the tongue could be a bit wider - not that it's so thin that it doesn't fill the opening, it does. It's just a bit more width would make it perfect. Very happy

I have really wide feet so I was worried that these shoes wouldn’t be wide enough. Happily they are wide enough in the toe box for me. I’ve had EEE shoes that didn’t fit this well. I’m very pleased with the fit and finish, especially since I had been paying twice as much for boots that were less comfortable
