Very bright . . . and the LED model doesn't consume batteries as fast as the earlier fluorescent model. This is a great product. We were without power in Naples, Florida for over a week after the Irma hurricane. I can easily vouch for this product.

My old Coleman fluorescent lantern finally died, so I needed a replacement. Wow, this thing is so bright, and never have to replace the bulbs anymore. Great idea putting a mirror underneath to reflect the light from above, and I love the dimming feature. Only drawback is 8 D batteries, which makes it a bit heavy. Next time we have a blackout, I'm good to go.

Nice and bright! I bought two and clocked about 30 hrs each on high setting at the last camping trip and still plenty of juice left , nice lantern

Love this lantern!! We took it with us turkey hunting in the cabin... no power there. The batteries lasted all week and are still going, using D batteries. The lantern gave out a significant amount of light. My hubby and I were really impressed with this lantern and may purchase another.

Excellent product. 6 34;D34; batteries with LEDs for lights will guarantee long times between battery changes. Illumination is continuously adjustable on this unit, unlike the single-LED unit which has two settings. Much safer, lighter, and easier to carry around than the old white-gas Thoriated mantle units, and while the LED is probably not as bright, the features easily offset that singular (admittedly limited) drawback. I used mine for camping and was very satisfied with the product. May buy one or two for around the house, as an emergency lighting source.
