This was the best purchase we made for a long outdoor trip with kids. The fact that you can break apart the light so you disinterested need to move the entire lantern was a game changer! Love it!

Great lantern for camping. Panels pop off so you can have light in multiple areas and their are different levels of brightness.

This is great to keep in a ready to acccess space especially during power outages. Keep lantern in one common area and even spread out smaller lights amongst other common areas that need lighting. Great alternative to trying to light candles on a whim in an outage

These are the third ones I have gotten. These two were gifts. They are study and batteries last a long time. Great features and can charge your phone with it also. Love this lantern !

This was a winner. I charged my phone and used just one of the panels as a bright flashlight. I put it in a place I could get to and it was easy to use in complete dark... a flat switch on the top that I could feel and depress. With only emergency use, the batteries should stay usable for years. I'll test it annually. Next time SoCal Edison turns off the power because they are too cheap to maintain their lines, this will let me get around. I really appreciate that it will charge my phone when the brick runs out. Now if only it could power my refrigerator....

1st use was during a power outage an did it pass the test. I like that you can remove a panel when nature calls and leave the lantern in place. Supper bright even the removable lighted side panels provide plenty of light. I like the versatility of this lantern.

Can not charge LED panels other than from 8 D cell batteries, depleting expensive D cell batteries rapidly.

I bought these lanterns for our adult grandsons for Christmas. We have an older model that has 4 take out lights. It has been great. They take a lot of batteries but we have had ours for several years and batteries are still good. Nice latern to have for a family for emergency outage. Each can have their own light to carry. The new style has an added feature with the option to charge a phone. I have bought several of the older style for presents in the past. Good investment.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift. I have one that I had purchased a couple years ago with the four panels. I love the panels come off to be used as a flashlight during an emergency like out. The light is bright and lights the whole room.
