I run a can of this the day before every oil change (7-9k miles) Drive 40 miles to work. I've now got almost 70k on it and none of the hesitartion and other symptoms DI engines are know for yet.

I use this product every 10,000 miles. After applying it, the engine runs much smoother. I can only assume this is the direct result of clean valves. The CDC Valve and Turbo Cleaner is made from the same detergents found in gasoline. In a low pressure fuel injected car, gasoline goes over the valves. High quality gasoline includes detergents to keep the engine clean. Direct Injected cars / trucks put the fuel directly into the cylinder. This means the valves are not cleaned by the detergents in the gasoline. CDC Valve and Turbo Cleaner (VTC) solves the problem. The first time I applied the product (VTC), I saw gunk on the rear of my car. This presumably came from the valves. The next time I applied the product, I did not notice the gunk on my car. To me, this is an indication VTC is working. The first two times, I disassembled the intake to spray VTC into the intake. The third time, I found a vacuum line (brake booster) and applied the product to the vacuum line. Applying though the vacuum line is the easiest way to spray the product into the upper engine. However, this means only the exhaust side of the turbo is cleaned.I have not removed the intake manifold and used a borescope to inspect the valves. That's a bit more than I want to do. I judge the product on the way my car runs. Based on this, CRC Valve and Turbo Cleaner does its job.

I used this on my 2011 F-150 3.5 Liter turbo moter. It is designed exactly for this type of GDI turbo cleaning. Caused no harm and seems to idle a bit better afterward. Although it did not idle rough before. I used this in the 120,000 mile tune up.

This is not a cure for a neglected high mileage engine but as a preventative maintenance solution, it works great. After 33,000 miles on my vehicle, bore scope reveled that there was no visible carbon build in the cylinders or valves.Just follow the directions and use it just before every oil change. Y

2013 VW GTI kept setting off the P0304 code - misfire on cylinder 4. Changed plugs and coils - kept on getting the same light. Tried this stuff before I replaced injectors and guess what? No more lights. Worth trying if you are having misfires. May not be the solution but it's a good, cheap way to start finding the cause.

After walnut blasting intake valves about 6 years ago, and installing an air/oil separator I've used this product at least once every year and so far has maintained gunk away. No rough idle problems nor check engine codes. Always pumped after MAF before the turbo inlet. This is a must have for GDI vehicles.

I have a GDI Accord with the 2litre turbo. It's at 44k miles and there's no hiccups yet, but I know these engines will always carbon up if you don't get an methanated water injector installed in the intake manifold. I had my garage administer this before and oil change and my car feels smoother that I ever remembered. I also run Redline oil which has high phosphorous and magnesium, but jeez louise this stuff works wonders.

If you feel comfortable doing so, follow the professional instructions and add the fluid through a vacuum line (I used the brake booster). Make sure to use short bursts-let the engine rpm come back up before spraying again-you don't want too much liquid in the intake.

Mini Coopers are notorious for high carbon buildup due to their GDI engines. This isn't a replacement for a walnut blast which is the best way to clean the buildup, but at a range of $400-$800 to have one done, using the CRC GDI IVD Intake Valve Turbo Cleaner helps delay the inevitable. I have a 2012 Mini Countryman S All 4 and I loosen up the hose clamp and slide the straw under the hose, just past the Mass Airflow Sensor as shown in my picture, keeping the hose full connected. This allows the spray to flow through the turbo first, then into the intake valves cleaning both the turbo and the intake valves. This works so much better if there is second person who can keep the car idling between 2000 and 3000 rpms while spraying. Without the second person, I placed a brick on the peddle to keep the idle around 2500 rpms during the process. It takes about 20-25 minutes of spraying in short bursts, so you don't stall the engine. After emptying the can, shutting off the engine and letting it hot soak for a couple of hours, I'll take it on the interstate to blow it out, the engine felt smoother, yet I never got the smoke show of carbon getting blown out the exhaust like you'll see with seafoam. I found out the smoke show is hit or miss with CRC, yet it doesn't mean that it's not working if you don't get the show. I know this won't clean the intakes fully, yet it helps keep my car running smoother until I'm ready to commit the money to the full cleaning. There are plenty of videos on YouTube that will show you how to use the cleaner.

2012 kia soul GDI. engine valves were making loud noise. i thought is was the end of the engine. removed the air intake while engine was warm. sprayed and watched carbon disappear. ran much better. pulled the injectors and one was clogged. used to clean injector tip. CRC GDI IVD Intake Valve Turbo Cleaner.

I use this cleaner before every oil change. First time I used it produced the giant cloud of smoke from the muffler. I still get smoke, just a lot less now that I am using it regularly. I find it helps with my gas mileage.

Used this on a Hyundai Veloster with 98,000 miles on it. Completely fixed an rattle I'd been having at high RPM in high gears. It's very difficult (almost imppssibpe) to use with just one person, because the engine needs to kept running at 2000RPM while spraying, and spraying it makes the engine want to stall. But with one person spraying and another on the gas pedal, it only took about 10 minutes to fully empty the can into the air intake. After waiting the requisite hour (was really more like 2) I started the car and took it for a drive. When I hit about 40mph, there was a series or ominous sounding noises, a plume of nasty white smoke, and then the engine was running better than it ever has in the time I've owned the car.So, a little bit scary to use but seems to have worked great.
