Amazing product, watched several youtube videos and this seemed to be the ideal one. My 550i is direct injection and had a huge amount of carbon buildup, I used a can on each side, pulled the plugs afterwards, the pistons were like new, misfire codes went away. recommend using a catalytic converter cleaner afterwards as there will be a lot of carbon in the exhaust. I am using the CRC product, so it should clear it out.

My car definitely seems to run more smoothly after I us this. I use it between every 5 and 10 thousand miles as routine maintenance. I hope it helps keep Carbon build up down.

Used this on a 2012 Lexus is250. Figured it was time. After following the instructions to the T, the tick I had was gone, the throttle response was crisp... just wow. I mean I know this has the most PEA (the chemical which does the cleaning) but MAN!!! These cars are DI (direct injection) so you will get some build up. HOWEVER, this isn't a European car with the major carbon buildup issues. Yeah they can get pretty bad, but most Lexus cars I've seen just need this every oil change (just before). Haven't ever had a check engine light due to carbon. It just chokes off the intake runner port. This stuff does an amazing amount of cleaning for very little money. Very happy

Followed directions, no trouble codes car still runs fine. No way to tell if it worked unless you get a mini cam down intake.

The stuff works really good for cleaning out your throttle bodies and all the muck and grime that collects within that area. just be very careful with your MAF sensor and other sensors. All cars have different locations of where the sensors are, so remove it if you can or protect it somehow. Take your time because if you hit that MAF sensor you could destroy it and then your car goes into limp mode which keeps you in a certain RPM range and then you have a huge problem on your hands. So use this with caution but it does work it cleans off everything.

I have been using CRC intake valve cleaner for about 6 years on my 2005 Audi A6. The CRC is used 2 times per year, early spring and late fall. I use top tier fuel only and Royal Purple products in the tank. My A6 has 140,000 miles on it now, no performance issues. The car runs like new, and I attribute part of this to using CRC. Yesterday I used CRC for the 1st time on my S7 alternating sprays between both turbos. I feel this product is not a “one-time” fix but should be used as part of a regular maintenance schedule to provide lasting affects.

My 2013 Hyundai Accent was having some minor sputtering issues. My mechanica mentioned the GDI carbon buildup problem and offered to clean it out for several hundred dollars. I like my mechanic, but they are a national chain and have sales goals. After doing some reading and youtube watching, I purchased the can and used it. Now the sputtering is gone. Granted it is not as good a job as my mechanic would have done, but for the price difference I am happy. One issue I ran into was that my engine would not stay at a set RPM. I followed the instructions the best I could, but the initial drive out my engine lost power, a ton of smoke came out the tail pipe, and I heard some terrible metal rattling. Afterwards the car ran great and is still going strong. Not sure if this is because I did something wrong, large amount of carbon broke off and went through the system, or my car has other issues that I made worse. Time will tell.

I will give this product a negative stars it were possible. My husband used this in my 2015 Kia Optima and it basically shut the car down. It was so bad I had to have the car towed to the shop. AVOID this product!!

This destroyed my car. I tried to take it for a ride at highway speeds after application and could even get to third gear without the car sputtering and failing. If I had seen even ONE review that mentioned an experience like what I am going through I never would have touched the stuff.

I used this on our 2016 GMC Tahoe with the L83 direct injection EcoTec3 engine. The truck had a little bit of a rough idle. I did this GDI cleaner, then replace the spark plugs AFTER the cleaner. This was the way to go since I figured that the cleaner would be hard on the plugs. I used the cleaner as directed on the label, changed plugs, then added two cans of Chevron fuel system cleaner. Truck doesn't skip a beat. I cannot confirm if gas mileage (mpg) increased, because we only drive about 20 miles a week with this vehicle right now.

A lot of new cars have gasoline direct injection (GDI) engines. Due to their very nature, engine oil is recirculated and collects on the back of intake valves. This builds up very quickly and reduces engine performance and longevity, and increases fuel consumption. The CRC GDI valve cleaner cleans the back of the valves (and turbo fan blades) and puts the life back into your engine. There are multiple YouTube videos that you can watch which will help using this product - you should do that first. I used this after only 23k miles on my car and the smoky fumes were staggering (frightening) as the excess carbon was burned out of the engine after the process. We immediately noticed an increase in performance and gas mileage after the cleaning. I'll be using this every 12000 miles from now on. You should too. Ford Ecoboost engine.
