I actually broke several of these before I pulled my head out and looked at the clips in the window right next to it. Found out I had installed the balancers incorrectly. Oopsie. After this miraculous revelation they worked exactly like they should.

This is a super sturdy clip, but it is way to wide for my window, and I am unwilling to cut into my frame. Make sure you measure.

This is part of the hardware we needed to repair our balance spring windows. My only dislike is that I only needed a couple and had to buy a package of 20. I will never need that many but it was inexpensive so there is that.

I bought these for the missing clips and were exactly the same but they did not release the window locks so I could remove the window and install a lock so were pretty much useless. I ended up using 3/4 PVC tubing to lock the windows.
