My turtle tank began leaking, and since it was not a cracked tank, but a leaky seal, I decided to try re-sealing the aquarium rather than purchasing a new tank. I bought two tubes of aquarium sealant (glad I bought two!) and found a youtube to guide me through the process. Scraping off all the old sealant was the longest, most difficult part of the process. Applying the sealant did not take too long, but it has to be done quickly as it begins to harden in a few minutes. Since it is winter, I did this inside, so the fumes were quite strong. Try to work in a ventilated area if possible! Allow time for this lengthy process: scraping off the old sealant, washing, sealing, allowing to cure, washing again.Ultimately it was successful and once again our turtle is happily swimming in his tank!Much cheaper than purchasing a new aquarium!
