I purchased these gate mounts for a concrete wall, where I couldn't use conventional screw in mounts. They work perfectly and the gate is easy to open and close.

These seem to be well made. Mounting holes are about .480 diameter so you will need to open them up to use a 1/2 inch fastener. Also the 1.5 inch dimension from the plate face is actually 2.0 inch to the center of the pin.
