High quality for the price

I never knew about these until I watched a U-Tube video to pick up some tips (I hate Calking). I can't believe the difference. My old school guns shoot out a glob every time you let off the handle requiring you to wipe the tip every time. I bet you waste a third of the tube. This just stops. Truly Amazing.

Oh well, I was hopeful. Still works as a caulk gun that drips at least.

This caulk gun is great in that when you release the trigger, it doesn't ooze out more caulk but stops immediately. Already bought a second one for my shop.

You get what you pay for. This gun is functionally no different than the basic, cheap gun. I found that the ratchet would occasionally slip, making uniform application almost impossible, and the pull back mechanism did NOT prevent the tip from oozing after releasing the trigger. Extremely frustrating as this is exactly why I bought this gun. BUT, I give it 3 stars because the super cool racing car metallic magenta powdercoat paint, along with the two tone ergonomic rubberized gator grip handle made me feel like a rock star and the coolest dude on the job site! If cool is your angle, go for it. If a durable, functional caulk gun is your angle, I think you'll need to step past this mediocre (but very cool!) product. (PS: 1. Gun was used as instructed, using approved product - silicone. I'm an experienced DIYr, so I'm not the culprit here. 2. I couldn't attach my photo of the gun thrown into the job site trash bin. That was intended to be my summary statement. Sorry.).

I have used the home depot caulk gun for years and this is much better. I like how on this caulk gun when you stop pulling the trigger no additional caulk oozes out. I also like the tip cutter on this makes it convenient.

holy cow! what a game changer. definitely wished i knew about the different types years ago. this one is a dream compared to the best one of three i owned.

Great design! Padded grips and sooooo important when you have to squeeze out a whole tube or four of a thick sealant / glue / etc, These are the best pads I have had in 20 years. And the No drip design REALLY works great when you need to put it down for a minute to take a call or wipe up or any short delay that used to create a little mess for you to clean up later!FIVE stars.

Don't you hate it when you forget to press the pressure release button and then you have caulk pouring out of the caulk gun the next time you pick it up? This gun eliminates that problem!

For the price, very good quality. The tube puncher attached a nice feature. Made grouting easier and faster. Like the No drip function .

Typically i don’t review items, but after using this i was impressed of how easy and comfortable it is to use along with no drip after you release the handle! Worth it!

I have always struggled with the regular caulking guns and didn't know this type existed. Was watching a YouTube and saw someone showing how to do perfect caulking and talked about this - couldn't order it fast enough. This will definitely make my life easier as I am not a professional.

No more aligning the plunger teeth to engage the caulking gun to dispense. Also, so easy to squeeze

Easy to use. love that there is no need for a release lever. Don't see this thing wearing out or breaking anytime soon

I didn’t know why i waited so long to get one of these things. Nice to work with. Too bad i still buy poor caulking thats all clumpy and half dry already. Good caulking in this gun is nice as a mofo though

This is the best caulking gun I have ever used. No drip. No mess. Sturdy construction.

We decided to have our basement re-carpeted, which of course meant re-doing the bathroom, painting replacing baseboards, patching re-painting walls, window door trim, re-painting doors, and replacing hardware.I needed a caulk gun that stopped when I let up on the trigger and this one worked great.

This is great, way easier to use then the old fashioned kind. Doesn't keep coming out, stops when you let go.

It would be helpful for the manufacturer to clearly identify and note the packing clip, which was on the caulking gun I received. It looked like this orange tipped, thick wire, item was a part of the mechanism. You can see the orange tips in the photo on the right, and the same pulled clip on the left. Once I pulled the clipout, it worked fine, of course. Otherwise, seems heavy duty, and well made. Sticker does say (for this model, 930 GTD) : Best for latex and silicone.
