This caulking gun makes it so easy to put down the caulk and stop with no excess coming out of the tip. Since purchasing this, I have done all my own caulking needs around the house.

This is amazing, I'm a Construction Manager for a national builder so in a pinch I do minor caulking to push closings. I've always just bought the $15 ones at Lowes and Home Depot, they suck becuase they all drip even though they say no drip! This one actually doesn't drip! And it's cheaper!

It has the cutter, it has the poker, but it has a better slider, and a much better grip. And, of course, the no-drip feature is great. I definitely won't be going back to anything less. Also, they price really isn't that bad when you consider, especially if you're getting it as a homeowner, that this will most likely be your last caulk gun.

This review is for Newborn 930-GTD Drip-Free Smooth Hex Rod Cradle Caulking Gun.The product arrived on time, complete and as advertised by the seller.I am planning to do substantial caulking in an upcoming DIY project for casing, chair rails and similar. My prior caulking experience, using inexpensive caulk guns, has been less than stellar and I typically end up with gobs of caulk instead of a nice, clean bead; in consequence, I spend too much time trying to smooth out and clean up the mess I have made. So, in advance of my project, I viewed a YouTube tutorial in which a professional offers advice for improved caulking. One of the recommendations was to invest in this Newborn drip-free caulking gun.I have just completed interior re-caulking of two windows using this gun; although the result is not perfect, I did find that this gun allows me much better control over the flow of the caulk bead. For me, the main advantage is that the caulk does not continue to ooze out of the nozzle during my frequent pauses for readjustment of position/angle/pressure. I am very pleased with the improvement; I will not go back to using the regular caulk guns.

Replacing on that was ran over by a scissor lift. They work great.

After years of dealing with oozing caulk from cheap caulking guns for my DIY jobs, finally bought this. Rehabbing a bathroom and doing a little caulking, hanging up the gun, doing a little more caulking, etc. Bliss to not have caulk running out of the gun all the time.
