The cables are nice, they come pre-bent a little which is perfect for using as patch in-between two 1u switches.

I was assembling a group of audio based products to connect together via ethernet through a small switch. These would connect to a wifi router set up in a Access Point mode (meaning I can use ethernet where I have no ethernet connectivity from my ISP router), The wifi router in access point mode communicates to my ISP router via wifi). Since this is a small space where everything connects together 2 ft cords were plenty long enough. It was important in this application not use use Cat 7 or Cat 8 ethernet cables as they are grounded on each end and would allow my connected items to possibly pollute each other with various hi frequency noise these items can transmit. Cat 6 cables are not grounded on each end giving me less crosstalk between the connected items and still have very fast bandwidth for communication. Cat 6e would have been a better choice but those are hard to find in shorter lengths. Cat 6 is doing the job very nicely in my set up. Cables are well made and should last years and years.

The cord is a little bit short. But quality is good.

I can't even purposely remove it. No, I am not joking.Make sure you have the right port before plugging in, because the teeth on the little lever are like 20 bigger than any I've seen before, and it took rather excessive use of a pair of pliers to get this out of my laptop. Pulling an actual tooth is easier. A light nail file to those large bits corrected the problem.I recommend testing each end on an ethernet port you don't care about, just in case.

It's 1 foot from connector end to end. I was hoping it was 1 foot of cable and then the extra length from the terminations.I only needed it to connect my modem to my router, so this is one of the few cases where the extra inch doesn't make that much of a difference.

The way the tab protector sits over the tab makes it extremely difficult to detach these on the 3 cables I got. I actually use a screwdriver to push the tab down, which feels silly but really isn't that big of a deal for me to do on the rare occasions I mess with them. Otherwise they're perfectly good cables. I'm using them at home with gigabit service and each seems to carry speed that without issue.

I rewired a lot of components by cutting these up and connecting new ends. All work perfectly. The wires are too small for me to tell if they are truly solid copper, so I'll take their word for it! I get 1gig speeds on all.

Needed a short patch. Less expensive than fabbing myself. Red color is cute (and denotes jumper purpose).

Ethernet function seems to work good enough. The pressure needed to remove from a device is EXTREMELY hard. The little push tab isn't formed at a steep enough angle to sufficiently depress the tab far enough to easily remove from a device. I use a flathead screwdriver to assist because my finger tips had enough pain.

I'm an IT professional turned entrepreneur, I've been using monoprice cables since the company came out in 2002 and every single cable I ever bought from them personally or professionally is still fully operational and was dirt cheap.Mono price decided to sell cables which are just wires for cheap because it doesn't cost much to make them and so they beat all competitions and became the first big name in Ethernet and destroyed that rip off company, monster cable who was selling HDMI cables for over $100 each when monoprice sold identical ones for a few bucks.No other company was doing that before but thanks to monoprice, most of the companies have cut their prices in half and monoprice is still cheaper than all of them! They must make literal pennies off each sale.Just get mono price cat6 cables and you will be future proof until you upgrade to internet that is faster than 10 GB per second because that's what cat6 cables can handle which is literally faster than the internet and much faster than your 1000 Mbps highest priced option from your internet company which is only 1 GB per second, these cables can handle ten times that.
