Love the idea and one worked fine. The second one I bought the latch with the screw that moves out to hold in place on the wall broke. The screw didn't want to tighten with the latch in place. After multiple tries getting it in place the plastic latch broke. Now it's just sitting in the wall hoping that one side doesn't come out and break the other side.

I purchased 2, one for the top and bottom of the wall. I painted them black to match my outlet that I added so everything would be up to code, they worked great.

These are awesome. One piece. Cut the hole, and mount it. I use mine as a junction for my cat6 cables going into my network enclosure. I keep most of the gear in my network cabinet, but the access points and different rooms all need their cables.

My dad is updating his house. Found these to wire cable/wifi under the basement into the new built-ins. The box is wide enough to fit many cables.

I didn't end up using these, but they seem solid enough and don't have any problems. I was going to hide wires going from the top of a fireplace mantle to the bottom, but found an alternative so I didn't actually install them.

Simple, quick install. Don't overtighten with power tools, just get it snug I think this is where people are breaking it.

This product would probably work decently well in a drywall application that didn't require any further wiring. Even so, I wouldn't bet on it working for a very long period of time. The plastic wings feel cheap and are tricky to get right, if you don't end up breaking them. I was trying to install one vertically (taller than wide, portrait orientation) but couldn't get the wings to rotate and lock into place like they're supposed to.
