These gloves are huge and makes it hard to pick up anything, like scissors or a clipper.

I bought these gloves for two reasons. The first is so my husband can use them outside when he's doing some extra work like removing toppled trees from our property. The second, is to protect his hands from our newly adopted pup. Actually, our pup is three years old and has taken a strong liking to his hands. It's his favorite toy. This way he can play with him and not worry about his hands getting all torn up. Also, the gloves saved him from a bite the other night. We are also working on some training with our dog for resource guarding issues.

Our pooch is 16 and can't see well and can't hear and sadly has some dementia and he gets aggressive when you pick him up, so in order to avoid getting bitten by him, we bought the gloves and VIOL problem resolved. Comfortable and perfect size but they kinda of smell but I guess is the leather, other than small complaint, the gloves are a perfect fit.

Wonderful purchase. Saved my fingers and forearms many injuries the last vet visits getting my new feral kitten into her carrier so I could get her the care she needed. I have zero fear of injury from any of my cats or kittens while handling them with these gloves.

Good sturdy gloves!I help some animal rescuers and these gloves help when helping a scared kitty , raccoon, etc..Don't think that these are the solution for all animal rescue, they're just one of many tools/ methods forthis arena.Consult with the rescuers / rehabilitators in your area on how best to proceed.

These are nice gloves I just got a little hands and they don't fit me the greatest but they will keep you from getting bit

These work fantastically trying to pick of a nippy doggy. My dog likes to bite when being picked up. I love these. Totally protects me hehe. I'm so happy I invested in these 5 stars

I had rescued a small dog that has SERIOUS anger issues and super strong bite. These gloves work!! Very much like a vest for cops...you feel the bite but no penetration...which is the name of the game...so the bite might hurt...but no injuries

I have a German shepherd puppy, who's 10 months old and loves to bite my hands. I bought these gloves and they are wonderful. I would recommend them to everyone that has large dogs.

These are Terrier-Proof. What else can I say?Our little 20lb terror occasionally grabs things, then engages in snarly resource guarding. Rather than donating my hands, these gloves even the playing field.

I have a 20 pound shitzu poodle mix, and we like some rough tumble where she can use her teeth and wrestle with my hands. She doesn't actually bite, but she grabs and of course her teeth are sharp, so I've tried wearing a couple of layered gloves to do that. The gloves eventually tear, so I tape them up with duct tape aka duck tape, but even then a tooth gets through now then. Plus she can pull them off my hands.These gloves don't have that issue, plus the length of the wrist part goes halfway up my arm, so even when she's on her back trying to disembowel my hands, my arms are protected.About the only negative I can say is that I got the smaller cheaper version, which turned out to be size 16 and are much bigger than I suspected. I usually wear large or extra large gloves, and these are even larger. So they are unwieldy. But there's room to wear anther pair of gloves inside these, which might be helpful if you are dealing with a larger dog.

We use these gloves for handling dogs of all sizes and breeds. The gloves offer great protection to mid forearm. There is a loss of dexterity that is to be expected with the padding so plan to adjust what mitigating measures you are able to take (i.e. don't expect to be able to buckle a muzzle yourself while wearing these). The fingers are a but longer that needed, even for my large hands, which is the only drawback.
