Causes: Children & Youth
Mission: Cakes on Wheels is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization based in Minneapolis, MN that bakes and delivers birthday cakes for kids in need. We believe that every kid is special and deserves to have a cake on his or her Birthday! When parents can’t afford to do so, we bake a cake from scratch and we deliver it to their home so they can have a candle to blow and a chance to make a wish. We use all natural, organic ingredients and make not only a delicious cake but also one that is as nutritious as possible.
Results: We have baked and delivered over 100 cakes this last year to children in need. We look forward to expanding our reach in 2013!
Target demographics: Low-income/At-risk families with children ages 1-18 in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area
