Rather than continually struggle with inferior plastic drain plugs you can strip and ruin, I installed this. Easy to drain HW heater in RV travel trailer.

Replaced the original nylon/plastic plug that had to be completely removed in order to drain water heater for winterizingmy RV. This valve stays installed and is easily opened for the draining process. Recommend all RVrs convert to this plug.

Time saver as the plug for the water heater is behind the gas line for the furnace Makes it really hard to take out and put in the plastic plug. This eliminates that problem. Be careful though as it may corroded if not lubricants once in a while.

I used these for drain valves on a copper after cooler that I made to remove water from the air lines from my air compressor. Worked great for this and was the best price I found on a valve I could use on 1/2inch lines.

Great replacement for plastic plug that comes with camper, had one of these on our last camper.Just throw plastic plug away and screw replacement in makes draining water heater so much easier

I installed this at the beginning of March and it’s already rusted and corroded. Not acceptable from a quality standpoint at all.

I needed a 1/4 NPT drain valve, and a 1/4 NPT X 1/2 NPT brass bushing, and I got both.I put 3 turns of teflon tape on the 1/4 threads and tightened it into the bottom of a stainless water filter housing.I have about 95 PSI water pressure on the drain valve, so it took a little snugging with a wrench to stop the very very slow drip through the valve. Not a complaint, just an observation.

Have to use tape on both parts otherwise, leaks will develop.
