Great replacement and heats up very quickly. Like it better than Hot Rod for ease of removal.

Very well made product, like heat shrunk terminals, necessary grommets and cable ties. Instructions a simple as possible and still clear. Nice job!

Absolutely works as advertised. After included instructions were followed, product worked with no problems. I use this as my main water heater system now with gas only serving as a backup. By the way I have a 8 gallon tank.

Hooked up as diagram showed. Which is only one way to hook up. But even at the lowest setting the element will not shut off. Causing the heater to boil out. Now that the hot water boiled out through the pressure valve onto the gas control. It heated the seals now the gas won't work either. So trying to save from using gas. Now I have to spend 360$ on a new water heater.

Ordered my second on after I found out the first had been burnt out due to user error while I was away (somebody left it on with an empty water heater...) This thing works great, and has saved me (even considering that I've bought two now) well over 100X what I paid just in the propane I didn't have to burn.

Does a great job and was fairly easy to install. However, I don't give 5 stars, because there is no wiring diagram for the connection cord. I had to cut of the plug and there was no indication which wire had the phase on it. Figured it out after a whole, but would have been much easier if it would have been marked. Other than that it really is a great product!

This device is awesome. It is easy to install, fits perfectly, and works great. The gas fittings were corroded and failing. I was going to have to replace the water heater. I found this while looking for a new one and I'm so glad I did. I will be able to get a few more years out of my old water heater until I'm ready to trade the RV.

Don't leave this energized if your camper is not hooked up to city water, the tank will boil off and the element will be quickly ruined.

This thing is awesome. I was a bit of a pain to get power to it, but that is no fault of the product. Not only does the product work, but the effort that went into making the instructions clear and simple is obvious. I've had this on while connected to mains power for about 3 days and I'm so happy to have hot water without having to worry about propane. It just works. Get it and spend a couple hours fitting it. It is really good and you won't regret it.

Was easy to install and works pretty well... it does take some extra time when you compare propane to electrical heating time, but it works and saves trips to buy propane.

Worked fine for the first 2 weeks of random uses. Maybe once or twice a week. Then completely stopped then would start when turned off.

The unit would have been an easy install BUT the two red wires coming off the heating element were too short with the limited access inside my trailer next to the hot water tank. Had to splice more wire onto those two wires. Once everything was installed, I ran the power cord through the cabinet under the sink and then into the power panel next to the sink. I cut off the plug and used wire nuts to splice it into the 14 ga. wire feeding the GFI circuit on the panel. Not sure how you are supposed to plug an 8' cord into anything as there is no AC voltage anywhere nearby. Hopefully this will allow us to use this heater while on shore power without tapping propane.

The compression fitting broke while screwing into the 3/434; bushing. I was not turning hard or cranking on it. It is made of cheap metal. I contacted Camco support over a week ago and have not heard back from them. I would return it, but it is already fully installed except for that bushing. I had to unplug it and use my old plug for a trip this past week. I now need to either find my own compression fitting or uninstall the whole thing and return it. Very disappointing and not the support I have come to expect from Camco.
