Pros: It does work, it will heat your water up. It is fairly easy to install Everything you need is included Cons: Takes hours to heat up 6 gal of water 45 to 140 in 4.8 hours. recovery time very slow - the more water you use the longer it takes to heat the water back up. If you have the time this will work for you, or you can use propane and have hot water in 20 min.

Amazing product, 100 satisfied. No more propane.

This worked very well. Never touched my propane. heat up time took a bit but if you fire it up during setup, you are good to go!

Works great, now have option for heating water. Used several times already. Works fine, a little slow heating up, but turn on while steering up and be ready by the time needed.

junk,installed in my camper,tried it for 2 weeks in driveway and it seemed to work fine.Went on 3 week week vacation out west and it never worked again.

Bought this for my RV and was very pleasantly surprised. Put it on a timer and it heats my tank enough for 2 showers and a shave in the morning. Really surprised by how well it works.

i installed last year works great independent or tandum with propane system. by it self does tank awhile to heat tank from cold. it is a big help when you are doing alot of dishes. i some times turn the gas of at night let the hybrid run to mantain water heater unit.

Couple problems. First, price was dropped $40 just after return period passed. Tried contacting the manufacturer BEFORE about the second problem but got NO answer. Second, this version does NOT include any anode rod, just a heat element. Since it goes in the anode rod hole, you forfeit the protection of your tank, the WHOLE purpose of the anode rod.

I have had this now for a month and I have to say that I do like it. It has some quirks though. It works as advertised and the water in my 6 gallon tank is usually hot in about an hour with no gas. Now with the gas the water is hot much quicker, but there is no need for that. I will say that in the colder months it is nice not having to step outside for hot water and it does save on the propane. Installation is easy, took me about 45 minutes to install and the plug and play makes it easy for us non-electricians to hook up. Now here are the quirks: 1. The switch light is on when it is turned off (I found one comment on a post saying that if you wire it differently then it will work right, not going to try it) 2. The light stays off when you turn it back to off after it is heated, it is almost like an alert that the tank is hot. (I actually like this once I figured it out, but at first I thought it was broken) I do like that you can order a new rod if the first one goes bad saving you from having to replace all the parts. I would give this five stars, just wish the light worked in an opposite manner

Works great, easy to install. Very hot water. I work out of town and stay in my motorhome during the week. It's a big haste to have to refill the small propane tank constantly. The water heater uses a lot of propane and having to get up early to turn on the water heater if I want a shower is a pain. I now have hot water available whenever I need it. I still have to take very short showers as the tank is only 6 gallons. But I would still recommend this product to anyone considering it.

Installation is easy enough. Directions are clear. The element is garbage. After completing the installation, it pligged it in to the available 120V/20A GFCI where my RV is parked. It immediatelty tripped it. Using my meter, I isolated the issue to the element. I used an adapter to plug into the 120V/30A. It made 1 tank of water, and the element completely failed. I've bought countless items with the Camco name on them. I'm very surprised they have such poor QC on this particular product.

Install took less than an hour, instructions were clear, works as intended but you will need to adjust the thermostat to the desired safe temperature. This is an easy install and tune in for someone with some mechanical ability and troubleshooting abilities. Have a dealer or plumber install if you are a quot;call the guyquot; type of person.

This is an EXCELLENT product!!!! Easy to install (although slightly confusing at first). Works flawlessly, and NO MORE PROPANE.

Works great, saving a ton on Propane. Very happy, should have converted years ago.
