Mission: The mission of the cando arts council is to provide exposure to the arts, including drama, music, dance, visual and literary arts: to aid, increase, and encourage participation in the arts by providing educational opportunities and facilitating the development and appreciation of the arts.

Programs: The cando arts council manages the municipally owned movie theater. Movies are shown on friday, saturday, and sunday evenings, one showing per evening.

the cando arts council put on two theatrical performances during the year, one by elementary school-age children and one by adult members of the community. Both events were open to the public and a small admission fee was charged.

a variety of music concerts were held during the year. All concerts were open to the public and a small admission fee was charged or a free-will offering was accepted.
