Mission: The mission of Canopy Center is to prevent child abuse and neglect, strengthen families, and promote healing of those affected by abuse, through the provision of culturally competent and diverse professional, volunteer and peer services.

Direct beneficiaries per year: over 500 children and their families with the help of over 200 volunteers and interns providing over 9000 hours of service.

Programs: Dane County Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) works with children under the protection of the court due to abuse to work for each child’s safety, permanency and well-being by bringing that child’s voice to the courtroom. Oasis program provides trauma-informed therapy for survivors of sexual abuse and their non-offending caregivers. Parent to Child supervised visitation program provides supervised visitation services to families due to court orders or agreements between parties in juvenile or family court. .
