Smartwool just has fantastic products, and this is no exception. I wore this on a trip to Alaska last fall, and it fit great and performed as expected - would recommend to any one.

This was given as a gift to an avid bicycle rider in a wintery area. The giftee was very pleased and it fit perfectly, just snug enough, not too tight nor too loose. Nice non scratchy material.

Pure merino, soft, warm, light and breathable. Unfortunately it fits a little tight on my big but not huge head. Still wearable and still excellent. Make it 20 bigger and it would be a 10/10

I took my cap to London to have in case that I needed it and sure nough , it can in very handy. I would most assuredly recommend this for EVERYONE. It is lite weight but super warm.Richard W. Phillips

This is the best beanie. There is no comparison even. All other beanies pale before the magnificent perfection of the Smartwool beanie. Not even kidding.

This is my favorite hat. It is one step above a helmet liner and one below the cheapo ubiquitous knit hats in terms of warmth. Perfect weight for moving around and working without getting overheated. Pretty durable so far.

Warm, most comfy, and its wool...doesn't make my in-the-canal-hearing aid cause a whistling feedback...just the perfect beanie for below freezing temps to keep the ears warm without sweating...ordered a second one to have the fold-over embroidered to make it a work beanie...its my favorite.

I lost my original Smartwool Merino Wool Beanie. It is a great beanie - soft, warm and light weight. Fits even under my ski helmet. Had to replace it.

I needed a hat that would pack small yet still be stylish and warm, and am so glad i chose this one. It takes up almost no room in my bag or pocket, but has proven plenty warm down to about 15 degrees. The fabric seems a bit thin at first, but the tight weave makes it very stretchy and quite resistant to both wind and drizzle. Because it's lightweight, it also makes a nice layer inside my parka hood on truly Arctic days or by itself when i'm puttering in the garage. I've washed it several times with no change in size or appearance. 100 worth the price in my book.

My husband asked me to get him some cheap 'beanie' style stocking caps to wear under his hat or parka hood when he is out on the bay crabbing and fishing. I saw this and knowing how much he loves wool, thought it would be a good cap for him. It arrived yesterday and he is thrilled with it, so warm, soft, comfortable, and fits under both his hat (not a ball cap) and parka hood!

No concern for warmth, as I had to take it off several times to avoid overheating. Great hat for temperatures at or below freezing; however, it does need one product improvement - grip. I would find myself having to pull the product down over my ears due to it slipping up. I am mostly bald, so I wouldn't think such a problem would occur with the rim folding up to provide extra pressure. Other than that minor product improvement, the hat is a great value.
