I have several Smartwool items, and they usually don't disappoint. I wasn't sure that this would be warm enough for Minnesota winter with my bald head, but it does just fine. I would definitely buy it again.

If you have a bigger head avoid this one. It's a bit short. I gave this one to my mom and I kept the Minus33 I also purchased which was longer. Both are equally nice. Standard merino wool comfort, which is great.

I'm not sure if it's because I have a huge head or what. I have to readjust this hat too often. I just want it to stay put. I can't, in good faith say that I would suggest this product

It just works. It's warm without being bulky. It does usually need a little shaking back into shape after a wash though (dual layer fabric).

Of all the cold weather headgear I tried over the years, this is hands down the best. The wool blend both insulates and breathes, so it makes an excellent cap for active lifestyles. The warmth to weight ratio is outstanding and because it's not bulky it's perfect for wearing under a bike helmet. It's also comfortable and durable, holding up well despite many washings. Highly recommended.

It says this is reversible, but unless you want a big white contents/made in/laundry instructions tag fluttering from your head, only the outside will suffice. (Even cut off, the monster tag is sewn in in such a way you'd have to remove the stitches then resew the hat to remove the tag remnant without leaving a hole in your hat.) Regarding the outside, I'd prefer they loose the emblem so they hat can be quickly tugged on without discovering that you look like you have your hat on backwards or sideways or whatever because the emblem has scooted around to some odd place on your head. But it's comfy and warm, and I can use it under a hood and the emblem won't matter then, regardless.

Really nice beanie. I got the navy/grey and it had a tag saying reversible. It's not reversible.
