Minimizes wasting betadine while cleaning a large area. Have used these for years but hadn't run across any. 'Course I hadn't really looked. My good grey mule, Goose, got a big cut on his hip, that drained a lot for a few days, which required applying two ointments. By morning each day it was an encrusted mess. And no big sponges had waited around a couple of years for an animal to try and kill themselves. Made do with a kitchen towel. But wasted a lot. They are good for bathing animal faces too. Like many items, when you have them there, it is easy to think of other uses. Like soaking up as much ice cold water in one and sneaking up on your wife to throw it between her shoulder blades.....the list is endless if you have an imagination....

Washed the car and the sponge worked very well.

I ordered this for bathing my horse. I just did a couple tests on it and it doesn't absorb the water very well.

It is a sponge: what are you supposed to write about? This is not the 1950s. You do not write some fabricated story of how it makes the miss's life splendid. The sponge absorbs copious amounts of water. I am not about to measure exact amounts, say cups or liters, I was shocked by its absorbency. And, the sponge does not trap or hold dirt.Perhaps, that is the selling point of the sponge. This is the first sponge-synthetic or natural-that does not stain, or turn into a breeding ground for germs or grit/grime. You wring the sponge and it is clean enough to continue. A thorough rinse when finished, and the sponge is like new.And, this is one of few sponges that I have used that can tolerate those nasty purpose household cleaners, bleach, and so forth. It begs the question, where was this sponge when I ran/owned a detail shop twenty years ago? I used to spend at least $6 or $7 more for a purported high-end sponge, without these results.To be fair, this is most likely technological advancement. In time you would hope that something as old as a sponge improves. Without a homemaker, I now have to clean for the first time in 14 years. There may be other sponges that are substantially cheaper and as efficacious? Look around and read between the lines.I am impressed, but if this sponge is great, alternatives must exist to compete.

We use them for washing vehicles and various pieces of equipment. We bought a couple because you can never find one when you need it. Not our normal brand but it is holding up well.

Good sponge. Large and works well. Just wish it was a little heavier like older sponges!

It's a damn sponge what can I say it soaks up liquid and then you wring it out and the liquid leaves. Amazing technology! Good quality on the real though.
