Great resource for homework and small groups. Short passages with common core type questions. I have this same book for each grade

The number of pages is disappointing, but the intuition of the practices is superb! It really makes it easy to remember for my kids and learn each stroke correctly. This is the book to start on. I bought it again after my first went through it.

The downside to this workbook is that it doesn't show the order of the strokes.

This book helped my son go from below grade level reading comprehension at the beginning of third grade to Level 4 (Proficient) on the ELA portion of the FSA (Florida Standards Assessment). The highest level is 5. This level of comprehension matches the level that the FSA requires, which is pretty high for third grade in my opinion. Other Third Grade Conprehension books that I tried were not as challenging as this one. The questions in this book matched the level of those found on the FSA.

Very strange format in my opinion. You learn the letters in a very random order and there is not much opportunity for practicing the letters. I also would prefer more practice on writing whole words sentences. There were no practice sentences at all. If I realized there were so few pages in this book I would not have purchased it. I think there should be twice as many pages for the price.

My Grandson was going to school in Florida. His school did not teach cursive writing. This was ludicrous, I thought. Well, now he goes to school in Alabama and he is at a grade level that cursive was previously taught. He is trying to catch up on learning his cursive and this book has really helped him. Thank you.

The only negative thing I have for this book is that there isn't a very clear picture demonstrating HOW to do the letters. I just spend a little time showing my child myself, but when she wants to work individually she is unable to get a feel for exactly how to write the letter.

My eight year old son really enjoys this handwriting book. He requested to learn cursive so I bought it, it sat around for two months but he picked it up the other day and is enjoying it.
