I use these sticks in my classroom to take attendance. Students put their star in a pocket when they arrive. Saves time and works well.

Even Sharpie comes off slightly due to the smooth finish, but these are durable for the classroom.

I have used these in my first grade classroom for several years. They are perfect for lunch check in or classroom jobs. I only wish they didn't have a write on/wipe off surface. I don't know any teacher that reuses them. I have discovered, however, that by using a kitchen towel and rubbing the surface with firm pressure, enough of the coating rubs off and I am able to write using sharpie. Before rubbing them down the sharpie wouldn't adhear to them. They withstand most of my students for the whole year too, which is saying a lot!
