Great book for teaching the US Constitution--easy to understand and to teach in chunks. A homeschooler tool, indeed. It states grade 5 but I'll be using it for younger students who are at the same reading level and moving fast through their studies. I'm enjoying reading through the pages!

This workbook has some great exercises in US government facts. It is absolutely perfect for a child who needs a little help at home in learning these facts or for the child who is home schooled. The workbook features an article to be read and then follow up questions to help with comprehension. This is a great workbook that all kids should work on.

I have to confess that I didn't choose this book to use for homeschooling. I don't homeschool anyone. I chose it because it's been a while since I studied the Constitution in high school and again in college, and I felt that I had forgotten quite a bit of what is actually in the Constitution. In today's world, there is a lot of arguing about the subject and I felt that I needed a refresher course. I am very pleased with this book. It's well laid out, easy to understand, yet thorough, and it has a little test after the different sessions so that you can be sure you will really remember it. It also has the full Constitution written out. I think it would be a good resource (IMHO) for a homeschool class on the subject. I think it would probably be good for ages 13 and up, and perhaps a bit younger, if the student reads and understands well and the teacher goes over the subject thoroughly.

This text is succinct (nice, short, sweet, and effective) and perfectly suited for grade school, home school, or the adult who needs a refresher on the U.S. Constitution. As near as I can tell, it comprehensively covers the major topics: - Articles of Confederation - Constitutional Convention - Separation of Powers (Legislative, Executive, Judicial) - Constitution and Preamble - Articles and Amendments (Bill of Rights, etc.). Each major topic is divided into sections and sub-sections. At the end of each section is a quiz to ensure the student has understood the section. The quiz questions (all written, no MCQ's!) are very thorough and quite challenging! What I love is if you're stuck, you can refer to the ANSWERS, which are provided at the end of the book (p 73). There is a 100-Multiple Choice Question Test at the end of the book, again, with answers provided at the end. --- I am an adult who needs a refresher on The U.S. Constitution and I approve of this textbook!
