I purchased this book for my 5th grader homeschool spelling program. I picked it because the workbook is cheap, simple, and colorful. Each week you get a 15 word list broken up into 4 pages of activities which I divde into 4 days. Each page will take about 10 minutes to complete. The book does cover some grammer and writing also. I'm using a seperate writing, grammer, and vocab curriculum with my child. The front cover does state 34;current state standards.34; It seems to be at grade level for your average 5th grader. I would go up a grade level if your child is a naturally awesome speller.

Seller Jensen books inc, specified that all pages were intack, and the book was in good condition. That is really laughable! Take a look at the pictures. I received 1/4 of a work book, lessons 11-22, the rest of the book, if you've used spectrum books, has an answer key and dictionary. Let me mention too, this I got for a$1.25 off the normal price. I should have just paid for a brand new book and not wasted my money or time with shady businesses.

I generally really like Spectrum workbooks, but this book was assembled incorrectly. Pages 81-88 are upside down and backwards. It isn't enough of a problem to bother trying to return the book, but I am hoping that Spectrum will see this review and correct the problem in future books.
