For high output professional sound systems, the CF0617M 6-1/2" midrange from Celestion is hard to beat. With a 1-3/4" edgewound voice coil and copper sleeve pole piece, this midrange will deliver low distortion output even when driven to its limit. The Kevlar reinforced paper cone and diffraction reducing flat foam surround have excellent damping characteristics giving this driver remarkably smooth response through the majority of the vocal range. The rigid cast aluminum frame and massive ferrite motor rapidly wicks heat away form the voice coil for high power handling and low power compression. Spring loaded push button wire terminals make it easy to create a low resistance and secure speaker cable connection. Finally, the inverted dust cap allows extremely close positioning of phase plugs for optimum performance when horn loading the CF0617M.
