Mission: To produce original investigative journalism about significant public issues to make institutional power more transparent and accountable.

Programs: Program service accomplishments: the center for public integrity's mission is investigative journalism in the public interest. To fulfill its mission in 2017, the center published dozens of in-depth investigative reports, and many hundreds of shorter stories and blog items and made available multiple online comprehensive searchable databases. The major areas of investigations were as follows:-the environment-money in politics-state government-workers rights-immigration-national security-technology-economic justice
