Mission: The Central Florida Animal Reserve (CFAR) is a big cat and wildlife sanctuary housing lions, tigers, leopards, and cougars. We are building a platform to address the challenges of big cats in the future, and provide value to society today. We engage the world of the big cats through our mottos: Compassion, Conservation and Commitment. This non-profit facility serves big cats that would otherwise not have a home. At CFAR, when it comes to big cats, it’s about vision.

Results: For over 20 years, Central Florida Animal Reserve (CFAR) has been providing compassionate and long term care needs for big cats. CFAR is located on 11 beautiful acres just south on U. S. Highway 441, approximately 25 miles from the City of St. Cloud. Our recent progress was the completion of our first "V" of our Capital Campaign. Our Visitor and Education Center was completed within a 5 month time frame, well ahead of our anticipated goal. With the unfortunate widespread effects of Covid-19, our grand opening was delayed for over a year. Since then, we hosted our grand opening event in April 2021 with the supporters and donors who helped make the Visitor Center a success! The Visitor and Education Center serves as a direct investment in connecting the public with nature and supporting a deeper, enriching experience. At present, our focus is directed to the viability of our organization. The Covid-19 outbreak has put significant constraints on our ability to move towards our next goal of constructing a Veterinary Center. Although this has been a difficult time, it is anticipated that the organization will move forward when the environment stabilizes. Our ability to exist in Osceola county has given us the opportunity to rescue and relocate big cats in need of a permanent home. Being a resource for our community helps us continue our mission-to provide a platform to address the challenges big cats face today while providing value to society in the future.
