It is great shorts for my daughter who is very active . They are great for workouts, climbing and also wearing over swimsuits. Lightweight and easy dry too. It holds up great too.

I actually like that these run a tad big, she will grow and looser shorts are better in hot weather anyways. The dolphin legs are her favorite style, but these aren't short like other brands. I got her a medium, she is 7.5 and 55lbs, with lots of lower body muscle.

This is the third summer of getting several pair of these shorts. Great for an active kid and durable. They look almost new after a summer of playing hard. Will probably be back for the next size next year.

Waist is a little loose but not so much that they fall down. My daughter is about 6 and wears a 6T for most things. Weighs about 49lbs. Good comfortable shorts.
