I actually like that these run a tad big, she will grow and looser shorts are better in hot weather anyways. The dolphin legs are her favorite style, but these aren't short like other brands. I got her a medium, she is 7.5 and 55lbs, with lots of lower body muscle.

This is the third summer of getting several pair of these shorts. Great for an active kid and durable. They look almost new after a summer of playing hard. Will probably be back for the next size next year.

Waist is a little loose but not so much that they fall down. My daughter is about 6 and wears a 6T for most things. Weighs about 49lbs. Good comfortable shorts.

This is probably my fault because I didn't realize that they had tighter shorts underneath and my kid didn't like the fit of them at all. She only wears athletic wear so it is weird that these are the first ones she said no to however the quality looked good, the seams looked solid so if your child does like the under shorts feature than this would probably be a great pair of shorts for them.

Nice athletic shorts for girls. They seem to be well made, and my daughter loves the colors but my only quarrel with these shorts is that they are huge. I bought an car (4-5) for my daughter. She definitely can fit size 4, but she mostly wears size 5 clothes. These shorts were huge on her.

Very comfortable and flattering. This fits true to size, and is cut to flatter really any body shape. It has washed well, numerous times without issue.

These are good quality for th price. I should have gotten size LG for my 10 yr old. XL fit but are large on her.

The size 4/5 shorts are slightly big in the waist and a lower waste than what is necessary for this age. Has inner underwear garment.
