Seems to be the same as at the Gym. Good stuff right here. Don't prefer the ones with pads on them since they always come loose and twist. I wear gloves anyways. This one does the trick. Has the rough handle for grip and is a good width for wide grip.

I weighed it and it's about 12.5 lbs. Sturdy. I like it., but the only problem is it falls down (to the floor, your head) without a counterweight. So make sure you pick your weight, then attach the bar.

This is a high quality lat bar. You will not find one made better. The swivel mechanism is nice and smooth. The grip is perfect - no sliding, but doesn't hurt your hand wither. It is heavy, but its just like the ones in the gym. Also, though the pic doesn't show, it has hard round end caps that screw on. They help keep your hands from sliding off and because the screw on rather than slide on you never have to worry about them slipping off. Occasionally, I will unscrew them, slide on some standard (1) plates, screw them back on, and use as a weighted bar for torso twists.
