It's very solid/heavy duty. I'm not a hard-core lifter at all, so this definitely fits the bill for use with my Weider Ultimate Bodyworks machine. The only reason for the one star downgrade is that because of it's 34;heaviness34;, it immediately put some minor scratches in my Weider exercise machine. I caught the damage early and taped up the inner six inches or so of the lat bar so as not to further mar the Weider during use. So be forewarned: because of it's weight and crosshatch grip pattern, it will scratch the paint off of less durable, painted, surfaces.

Nice lat bar. The rubber end caps are loose so it loses a star. Other than that it a nice heavy piece of equipment.

I weighed it and it's about 12.5 lbs. Sturdy. I like it., but the only problem is it falls down (to the floor, your head) without a counterweight. So make sure you pick your weight, then attach the bar.

Purchased this bar and have no problems with the quality, however, when I took it out of the box I discovered it was missing one or the knobs for the end. I will change the rating for this when the seller resolves that small issue.

Bought as an attachment for my Powerline PPR200X rack with PLA200X lat tower. The bar I received had screw holes for rubber stops at the end (the same as seen on the 20-inch straight bar), but only one side had the stop. I haven't had a problem with my hands sliding down the handles so this wasn't a dealbreaker as the picture did not show them included.

Suits well with single hook cable machines home or gym. Heavy bar not light. Well packed and I got it shipped quick.

For the price, you can't really get better quality (feels like ones you'd find at any gym.) It swivels for the type of workout you're doing.

Bought the lat bar for my exercise gym equipment, and realized that it was too long when i opened it.Have no choice but to keep it now, or sell it.

It didn't fit my half rack with pulldown due to it's width. I have to rotate the bar in order to keep if from hitting the uprights. So make sure you measure before you order.

Bar works great. The main reason I got it was because the bar I had was padded, and it was very difficult to get my straps on. This bar is all chrome, so it's easy to wrap the straps around it. The only negatives are that it weighs a lot, so it's hard to get it on and off the hook while it's above my head. Also, the clamp part is pretty wide making it even harder to get on and off the hook. I'm guessing it's thick because it has to support a ton of weight, but still could be a little easier. I'd recommend it, I just have to fight with it a little to change it out.

This bar is actually a bit heavier than I expect it to be. I think it is around 10lbs. This is kind of a problem since i have a home made pull machine. Nonetheless strong and sturdy

Four stars because it's a great bar, one star off because it's not the bar that's shown in the ad. The bar advertised does not have balls on the ends, but the one you get does. I hate these balls because they break and then you're left with a bar with a threaded hole in the end. They should advertise it correctly.

Just received this bar in the mail yesterday. Used it this morning for the first time. Nothing much to say about it other than it is a solid lat bar, good knurling and it seems to do the job as expected. Mine came with the rubber knobs on the ends which at first I was not too thrilled about, but it may be beneficial if I ever turn and bump my head into it while hanging. Overall a good purchase for $28 bucks and free shipping! If you are looking for a basic wide solid lat bar then you will not be dissappointed with your purchase of this bar.

The bar is well made. It's Heavy duty, wide enough and the knurling feels good (not too chainsawy). The bar I got has protective plastic balls at the end of each handle (probably a good thing) but doesn't match the picture.
