I use the watch to referee soccer. It has a countdown function which is needed for high school games. The same countdown function will also start counting up after reaching the end of the coundown. I love the low price for this watch. I like that this watch will stay in countdown mode once you set it and start it. Be aware that before you start a countdown or if you pause a countdown, the watch will switch back to the time function after about five (5) seconds of inactivity.

My son uses this watch to referee soccer games and it has served him well. For the price it has been great.

Like watch easy to read...use it to ref ...would like better if it held time when stopped as oppose to recycle thru modes

I would have to agree it isn't the stoutest construction, but if you (like me) wear it only for a game or two every week and then it lives in it's plastic case (in your ref bag) then you'll likely get your $20-something bucks value out of it. Super easy to use and perfect for Soccer. Let's you worry less about time so you can focus more on the match.
