We ordered this one after trying Wal-Mart's plastic one. This is spoo much better and doesn't block the sight line like the other one. My daughter is 8 years old and this fits her perfectly.

Been playing softball my entire life without a face shield. Something in my 41st year on this planet told me standing on that pitchers mound was playing with fire... First time out on the field this season, wore the mask and took a ball to the chin. Other than the mask moving a little, I didn't feel a thing! Mission: Accomplished. Lightweight, doesn't block my view of anything, able to wear sunglasses under it. Adjustable pads on the inside and has a little loop for my ponytail to go through. Highly recommend!

This came of good quality and I was able to bend it slightly for that perfect fit. My child is 10 but hit an early growth spurt so she's a bit taller than her friends. This mask fit her pretty close out of the box. Should be good for several years.

I bought this for my 7 year old since they now require them to wear facemasks when playing certain positions. She only wore it a handful of times this season since A. she's still in coach pitch and B. she mostly plays shortstop and prefers not to wear anything when she doesn't have to. But, when she wore it, it fit her perfect and has plenty of room for adjusting so she will be able to use it for a few seasons no problem. It seems pretty durable and is not flimsy like some of the plastic ones I've seen. Her only complains is that it hurts her chin but I'm pretty sure its just a matter of getting used to it rather than the padding being to hard. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and I've seen other kiddos with the same mask out on the fields.

I picked this mask up last summer while pitching in slow-pitch softball. This past week it saved my vision and quite possibly my life. The mask is fairly comfortable (moreso when wearing a cap backwards underneath it), easy to fit, and doesn't obscure vision too badly. And it took a line drive directly off of it without breaking or transmitting too much force into my head.The picture shows the effect of the line drive on the mask (this is a steel version). If I decide to go back out there, I'll definitely be replacing it with the same model!

My 8 year old daughter plays in a travel league and got nailed in the face while playing pitcher. She said she didn't even see the ball coming because it was so fast and hard. This fielding mask saved her face today!!!

So I had no idea these were required for softball until my daughter told me she was the only one without one. I've seen no less than 3 girls get nailed in the face at one game, but they were wearing these and totally okay. I thought it was unnecessary at first but now I'm really glad my daughter has one on. Easy to take on and off which is important for when they switch from offense to defense. Easy for my 7 year old to do without me and it's very easy to adjust to fit. I highly recommend!
