Perfect for a teenage to adult softball player. My 14 year old uses this in the infield, and it has saved her face more than once. It is sturdy and lightweight. She says it is comfortable and does not block her vision at all. I definitely recommend, especially for infield players.

My daughter is a very tiny 8 year old, in clothing she wears a size 6x, so we were worried about the fit. Once we adjusted the bands it fit great!We struggled choosing between the light weight and the standard. The standard is just fine for weight, no regrets.

This is such a good face sheild for softball and baseball I bought this for my 9 year old it has adjustable straps and Velcro padding it is on the heavy side but that dose not make it a bad item I recommended the purchase

My 11 year old daughter plays Juniors softball. She has a tendency to shy away from it when it's coming towards her. Her coach suggested that she try a fielding mask. It wasn't a total solution, but it does boost her confidence in not getting hurt, significantly. She's getting considerably better at chasing the ball instead of avoiding it!
