Used these to make borax crystal stars for our science project. Got 2nd place in 4th grade event, so they worked exactly like we wanted them to. Cat loves to play with remaining crumpled pipe cleaners, so we got a 2-for.

Use them to clean narrow spaces, like straws. Also come in a nice variety of colors for crafts. They are well made, and don't fall apart under heavy use.

Works good on cleaning my pipe, obviously not meant for it since you can't see the results so well on the black ones which are of course the cheapest though- my recommendation- don't cheap out, buy some pipe cleaners that aren't black if you're actually going to clean a pipe with one.

I guess it's my fault for not paying attention to the thickness.... but they are VERY thin. Also the material comes off of the wire quite a bit on the ends. Overall it's a pipe cleaner, but I can barely use these. NOT for the serious crafter!
