I bought an XS regular length white pants knowing I'd need to hem them a bit. I'm just shy of 5'5" (120lbs) and petites are just a bit too short for me. The material is somewhat thin, so no colored or striped panties unless you want to be the topic of conversation with your coworkers and patients.

these are not as comfortable as i would have liked them to be and i found them to be quite long. I also thought they were a little too big and I could have sized down but then they may have been too tight around my backside. I don't have a very large bum, i'd say maybe a little more cushion for someone my size usually has, so this may be a problem for others who are blessed with a smaller waist and a bigger backside who are also on the shorter side .

my daughter says this brand of pants hold up a lot better than other when frequently washed as necessary when working in the health field
