Causes: Children & Youth, Health, Nonprofit Management, Public Health, Reproductive Health Care, Reproductive Rights

Mission: Facilitate the provision of respectful, quality maternal and reproductive health services to women of child bearing age; improve services for newborns and children 0-5 years at health facilities and at their homes (home-based midwifery care); and increase access to reproductive health services for youth.

Results:
•Distributed food and basic needs to 5,000 individuals impacted by COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown measures.
•Cervical Cancer Prevention, Screening, Treatment, and Referral services for women and girls in Uganda since 2016, saving lives of nearly 400 women and 180 girls.
•Distribution of 400 sterile childbirth kits to low-income pregnant women plus medicines saving their families from financial hardships.
•Distribution of basic needs, especially food and hygiene products, for orphans and vulnerable children.
•4,000 Adolescent girls are informed and empowered with messages on menstruation and menstrual hygiene. CSI distributes free sanitary towels.
•Continued increase in community awareness on preventable causes of maternal, newborn, adolescent disability and death.
•Improved engagement and involvement of men as agents of change on issues surrounding maternal, newborn, and child health.
•Edu-empowering vulnerable youth to pursue post-secondary education by offering scholarship assistance in vocational training.
•Promote children's literacy program, preparing preK children with reading skills to succeed, and edu-empowering adolescent girls in Baltimore.

Target demographics: pregnant women, newborns, children under five years old, adolescents/youth in Baltimore and abroad

Direct beneficiaries per year: 600 pregnant women; 5,000 adolescent girls; 3,000+ community members; 70-100 licensed midwives

Geographic areas served: Marginalized communities to reduce preventable causes of death and disability; reaching the unreached with health services, resources, and information. #CSIImpactingLives #CSICares
