Mission: TO CREATE A PROFESSIONAL COLLABORATIVE ATMOSPHERE OF COMMUNITY AWARENESS AND NURTURING SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN TO THRIVE AND GROW IN A MENTALLY, EMOTIONALLY HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT. VISION: TO BECOME THE NUMBER ONE ADVOCATE AND INFORMATION NETWORK FOR THE EMOTIONAL WELL BEING OF CHILDREN, PROVIDING RESOURCES TO ASSIST CHILDREN IN BECOMING MENTALLY HEALTHY ADULTS.

Results: I. Increase Knowledge – inform and educate individuals about emotions, emotional abuse, healing after harm; to initiate hope for an emotionally healthy future by building self esteem and developing coping skillsA. LEAP – educate adults on emotional abuse and restoring interpersonal skills to enhance a child’s healthy emotional future B. LEAP Jr – educate youth about emotions and emotional abuse: offers awareness and support for children to increase their perception about emotional abuse, provides skills and resources for coping with emotional abuse circumstancesC. LEAP-E – specialized intervention curriculum program designed to enlighten educators and professionals about emotional abuse; provides tools and techniques to recognize and combat emotional abuse; offers PDUs and CEUs for professionals II. Create Understanding – develop collaborations with organizations and community groups to raise awareness and increase knowledge about emotional abuse and its effect on the family structure and communityA. Journaling On Time System – personal online program that allows individuals to maintain time/date stamped documentation log for parental issues involving the Family Law Court system; provides a private personal journaling component for adults; allows multi-level communication with authorized users B. PPSH Education Roundtable – educational collaborative forum presents C4T and 19 other professional organizations to present materials to the educational representatives of the 54 school districts of the Texas Education Region 4C. Youth Police Advisory Council (YPAC) – training collaborative that educates teen advisory council members on emotional abuse and its consequences; materials are presented to broaden the understanding of council members, their peers and students in their educational circles

Target demographics: identify and prevent emotional abuse by creating knowledge and understanding, building self esteem and coping skills, developing interpersonal relationships and survival skills, and creating hope for an emotionally healthy child.

Programs: Children 4 Tomorrow's multi-faceted programs identify and prevent emotional abuse by creating knowledge and understanding, building self esteem and coping skills, developing interpersonal relationships and survival skills, and creating hope for an emotionally healthy child. RESTORING MINDS ~ BUILDING FUTURES -- Program provides financial support for counseling services and legal assistance for children suffering through emotional abuse. The program provided full time counseling for 17 children. LEAP -- Children 4 Tomorrow conducts, maintains, and promotes the Learning Emotional Abuse Program (LEAP), a comprehensive 4-course curriculum with support resources for adults. This focused training approach engages adults by increasing the awareness of emotional abuse and encourages adults to participate in collective family healing. The goal of LEAP is to train parents to understand, recognize and eliminate the indicators and observable behaviors of emotional child abuse. LEAP Program served 136 participants in 2015.LEAP JR -- Course that trains youth to understand and recognize emotional abuse, to balance emotions and articulate feelings, and to utilize information and resources that promote emotional health. The Houston Chief of Police sponsored its Youth Police Advisory Council of 36 participant members to take the course.
