Mission: We believe that lives are made richer by nature and we work to keep nature nearby for all to enjoy. As a home-town land conservancy, we work to preserve Raleigh's hidden natural treasures by acquiring land for parks, green ways, and nature preserves. We also work to connect children with nature by offering need-based financial assistance to families who can’t afford to enroll their kids in Raleigh’s outdoor summer camps and nature programs. Why do we do all this? Nature enriches our lives. We are physically and mentally healthier when we are in it, and nature-play helps children build confidence and develop social skills. The Foundation works in the present to have a lasting impact on our future.
