I have a 4 year old at 46in so I bought accordingly to his usual size. The jacket seems a bit short. He holds his arms up and his tummy is exposed. But still works well for a school uniform. He likes it so I don't mind it.

Great as a school jacket, esp when the colors are maroon he loves it and works as a rain coat, great for those days where he waiting on the bus

These are a great buy. Light, but the sweatshirt-like lining and the hood make it excellent for Fall weather. Purchased one for my son -- liked it a lot. Then purchased another for my daughter. Perfect for active kids that may (or may not) lose their jackets from time to time -- the cost of these won't make you too crazy if that happens.

Fit to size! We bought youth large and it's a 14/16. The cuffs are a bit tight to my sons liking but it's a perfect coat for the price! Lined and warm too!

Size chart doesn't give you the information you need in ordering this jacket I ordered a medium which ended up being a 10/12 I was looking for a 4/5 !! But on a good note I reorded and hopefully get the right size and in a few yrs he will be able to wear this one
