Unbelievable how little sunlight is needed to charge the batteries enough to produce four to five hours of light. On a full sunny day, the solar panel collects enough energy to run the light a good eight hours. Light is subdued, not bright but that is what I was looking for. Pavilion where installed is big enough I may purchase a second one and have two to light it up.

Great quality product, although I only paid $47.85 in August '16. I did, however, replace the cheap AA's with Imedion 2400mAh batteries and also attached the solar panel to the roof of my gazebo. With those batteries and the solar panel placement, it burns ALL night, even in December. The lighting is very nice for ambience, not overly bright
