It is excellent. I purchased this item for a senior citizen who has a severe hearing impairment yet refuses to use hearing aids. It works wonderfully for her.

Got this as a gift for my hearing-impaired friend He was impressed -- says the ringer could wake the dead, and the flashing light is great for times when he's not wearing hearing aids. Kudos to the product designer for making both elements adjustable, so it's easy to turn the ringer down or turn off the light when they're not needed.

My 90 year old grandpa can barely hear (his smoke alarm was beeping for a change of batteries and he couldn't hear it). I was calling multiple times and worrying when he wouldn't answer the phone. Hooked this up and works like a charm. He says it is as loud as a shotgun--so loud he turned it down!!! Easy enough for him to turn it down by himself with easy displays! Very easy to plug in. It will work without a phone if you plug it into a phone jack and into an outlet. Strobe light functions as expected. He answers the phone now within a couple rings! I put it on an end table with a phone. I did not see a way to mount it.

Great product, we need it loud in order to be heard inside a drycleners, we can hear it from the front dest, to the back.

I bought this for my grandmother because she is very hard of hearing. The light strobe is excellent it gets her attention even if she cant hear the phone ring. But the unit also has a ringer that you can control the volume. It it gets pretty loud. This is perfect for someone that can barely hear.
